Hey everyone!! So I’ve been asked a few times about how I edit, and I finally got around to making a proper tutorial complete with the psd (and action) I made to give my photos just a little extra pizazz while still keeping them simple. I hope this helps anyone looking for a nice and easy editing style that works well with reshade! (or without, up to you!)

Tutorial and download under the cut!

Athena’s Mods and CC Maintenance Tip Sheet

I play a heavily modded game. In fact, my Mods folder is over 20GB. Unless you want mod maintenance to become your next hobby, I do not suggest you do the same. However, through trial and error (mostly error) I have learned a few tips and tricks to keep my game in tip-top shape.

  • Always keep your game patched to the latest version
  • Back-up your EA folder to the Desktop before updating your game
  • Remember to re-enable script mods after updating or reinstalling your game
  • Back-up your EA folder regularly. I use Dropbox, but any cloud service or other device will work.
  • Perform a Game Repair on Origin before and after every update
  • Learn to use Sims 4 Studio
  • Always make sure you have the latest version of Sims 4 Studio
  • Always Batch Fix all CC after every CC “shopping” trip – especially if you download older CC.
  • Always clear your localthumbcache.package file after every game
  • Always delete your caches, any “Last*.txt” files, and your localthumbcache.package file after adding or deleting any mods or CC.
  • NEVER use old script mods. Script mods should not be older than the latest major patch (usually those are the patches before a GP or EP). I actually borked my main save by not heeding my own advice about backing up my EA folder before testing. Luckily, I was able to recover by splicing bits of various saves together. It was NOT fun and it took over a week-and-a-half. Most people would have given up…
  • Put your Mods in folders so that it is much easier to do a 50/50 if you need to do one – and eventually you will need to do one.
  • Keep mods that have both a .package and a .ts4script file together in the same folder and no more than one subfolder deep.
